Probate, Estates, Wills and Trusts
- Preparing Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and other Estate Planning devices.
- Helping executors and administrators of estates with probate procedures and other concerns in reference to the carrying out of their duties.
- Also acting as Executor for estates where the need arises.
Real Estate
- Assisting clients with the Purchase and Sale of residential and commercial property and with use of same for financing (Mortgages).
- Resolving title, boundary and rights of way issues.
Civil Litigation
- Representing clients in the resolution of disputed claims, including claims related to personal injury, property and estate issues, contracts and employment - both through negotiation and, where necessary, proceedings in the civil courts including both Supreme Court and Small Claims Court.
Farm, Fisheries and Resources
- Guiding marketing boards and other agriculture-related organizations in setting up constitutions, bylaws and regulations.
- Assisting in administration of same.
- Representing the Federal Crown on matters relating to the Atlantic Fishery including breach of fishery regulations as well as fish habitat and conservation issues.
General Practice
- Advising and representing clients with respect to general legal matters such as preparation and presentation of court applications for guardianships, adoptions, contested wills and collection of accounts.
- Referring of clients to specialists in other fields where appropriate.
