Burchell MacDougall LLP welcomes Charles Cox to Truro office

Burchell MacDougall LLP is pleased to announce Charles F. Cox has joined the firm.

Charles has been practicing law for more than 45 years, and spent time as a lawyer in both Dartmouth and Halifax before returning to his hometown of Truro to open his own practice, C.F. Cox Law Office, in 1990.

“Charles brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his long-standing practice and community involvement,” says Kelly Mittelstadt, Partner. “We are pleased he chose to join the Burchell MacDougall team, and his contribution to the firm will allow us to continue to provide the highest quality of legal service to our clients.”

Charles is well-known in the community, as both a former Town of Truro councillor (1997-2012) and Deputy Mayor, and an active volunteer. Charles has held numerous executive and non-executive positions, including: Former Chairperson, Truro Audit Committee; Former Chairperson, Colchester East Hants Hospital Foundation; Former Director, Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation; Former Director, Atlantic Lotto Corporation; and Former Deacon of the First Baptist Church. He formerly served as Legal Counsel for Truro Housing Outreach Society and on the FTB Screening Panel for Non-Adjudicative Government Positions, and is currently on the advisory board of a global healthcare start-up company.
