Alexander grew up in Bible Hill and began working at Burchell MacDougall LLP at the age of 16 as a runner, often starting each morning by clearing snow off the front steps before school. It was during this experience that Alexander first developed an interest in the practice of law.
Upon earning his History degree from St. FX in 2014, Alexander went to the Northwest Territories where he worked and experienced the North’s natural beauty. He also spent time working in landscaping and construction in Nova Scotia before attending law school.
He attended law school at University of New Brunswick, graduating with a Juris Doctor in the spring of 2019. While at UNB, Alexander was awarded the New Brunswick Law Foundation Bursary in 2019. He also spent a semester abroad studying international law at Vrije Universiteit in the Netherlands.
Alexander returned to Burchell MacDougall in 2018, first as a summer student and then as an articled clerk, before joining the firm as an associate following his call to the Bar in June 2020.
As a lawyer, Alexander is grateful to be in a position to be able to give back to his community. His preferred areas of practice are civil and criminal litigation, personal injury, real estate, and estate planning.
During his spare time, Alexander is an avid skier and spends much of his free time during the winter months at the local ski hill. He also sings and plays guitar, keep an eye out for him at local open mic nights!
