“I decided to become a lawyer because I enjoy helping people, especially people who find themselves in vulnerable situations and people who cannot advocate for themselves.”
When dealing with legal issues, there is often a great deal of stress, anxiety and uncertainty involved and Ashley views it as her job to help people navigate the legal process in a way that limits unease and tension.
She considers the practice of law as a “people business” and enjoys helping clients with creative solutions to their problems, always keeping in mind that no two people are the same and solutions vary from person to person in order to create satisfactory outcomes.
Ashley joined Burchell MacDougall LLP in 2018, and decided to join the firm because of its long standing reputation and experience. “I wanted to join a professional team of talented lawyers and staff.”
Most of her free time is spent with her young son, Elliott and her husband Pietro.
Ashley Dutcher was recognized by The Best Lawyers™ in Canada 2023 for her practice in Family Law.
