Fun-ebi is an associate at Burchell MacDougall LLP. Her practice areas include corporate and commercial law, family law, and wills and estates. Her current focus is on family law.
Fun-ebi advises individuals and families on separation, divorce, custody, spousal and child support, property division, and cohabitation agreements, among other matters. She provides clear, practical, and client-centred solutions. Fun-ebi dedicates her time to understanding each client’s circumstances and goals. She is committed to resolving family matters through collaborative and less adversarial methods whenever possible, helping clients achieve fair and practical outcomes while minimizing conflict and emotional strain, and only resorting to litigation as a last resort. Her approach combines accountability, professionalism, empathy, and clarity in meeting both legal standards and client expectations.
Fun-ebi earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Igbinedion University, Nigeria, in 2010, and her Barrister-at-Law from the Nigerian Law School, which qualified her to be called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2012. In 2013, she completed her Master of Laws degree at the University of East London, United Kingdom. She also obtained a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada (2024), a Certificate in Legal Research and Writing from the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education, Alberta (2023), and a Certificate in Policy Development and Implementation from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia (2025). In June 2025, Fun-ebi was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, Canada.
Outside of her legal work, Fun-ebi enjoys exploring diverse cuisines and recreating them in her kitchen, journaling as a reflective practice, swimming, and spending quality time with her family.
