Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Nathan attended Saint Mary’s University for his undergraduate degree and obtained his law degree from Dalhousie University. While in law school, Nathan was on the Dean's list and received a Schulich Scholarship for academic merit and community involvement. He was involved with the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service throughout law school and spent a semester working in the clinical law program where he represented clients in criminal, residential tenancy and income assistance matters. Nathan was also involved with Pro Bono Student's Canada during his studies and did a placement at the Dartmouth Provincial Court providing assistance to provincial court judges.
After graduating law school, Nathan articled with Burchell MacDougall LLP and joined the firm as an associate lawyer upon completing his articles.
Nathan has experience appearing before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court, Nova Scotia Supreme Court and Nova Scotia Small Claims Court in relation to motions, trials and hearings. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and works hard to provide straight forward and efficient legal services.
Outside of the office, Nathan enjoy's spending time with his family, travelling throughout the province and playing basketball and softball.
