Jessica graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2021, acquiring an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Geography and a major in Feminist and Gender Studies. Jessica grew up in Halifax and was eager to return to Nova Scotia after completing her undergraduate studies in Ottawa. She earned her law degree at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law in 2024.
She joined Burchell MacDougall LLP’s Truro office as an articled clerk, and, following her call to the bar in 2025, became an associate lawyer with the firm. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, wills and estates, and family law.
Outside of work Jessica enjoys reading, watching movies, exploring Truro, and spending time with family and friends.
