Preet Dhaliwal was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 2022.
Ready for a new challenge, Preet moved across the country to attend Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law. Preet first joined Burchell MacDougall as a summer student in 2024, and returned to article with the firm in 2025.
In 2026, following her call to the bar, Preet joined Burchell MacDougall as an associate. Based in Truro, Preet is developing a versatile practice with a focus on civil litigation, employment law, wills and estates, and family law.
Outside of the office, Preet is an active participant in her local community. She is a fitness enthusiast, a passionate supporter of the arts, and enjoys both attending and partaking in local theatre productions.
